Job Summary

The Max Rubner-Institut (MRI) is seeking a Deputy Director to support the management of the Institute for Nutritional Epidemiology and Physiology in Karlsruhe. In this dual-function role, you will assist the Institute Director with organizational development, administrative leadership, and inter-departmental coordination. Simultaneously, you will head the Nutritional Epidemiology specialist group, where you will be responsible for the scientific coordination of staff, planning and executing epidemiological research, and securing third-party funding. A key aspect of this position involves translating scientific findings into evidence-based policy advice for the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. You will interpret complex data, publish in high-impact international journals, and represent the institute at global conferences.
