Job Summary

This role at the Chair of Physics of Quantum Materials at TU Dresden offers a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research on the elastic tuning of collective states in Kagome quantum materials. As a Research Associate and PhD candidate, you will spend your day-to-day performing high-resolution X-ray diffraction and electrical resistivity measurements across varying temperatures and uniaxial stress. You will also have the opportunity to complement experimental findings with Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. The position is embedded within the prestigious 'ctd.qmat' Cluster of Excellence, providing access to world-class experimental facilities and a collaborative network between Dresden and Würzburg. This role is ideal for a motivated physicist looking to combine hands-on experimental work with advanced theoretical concepts while pursuing a doctoral degree in a highly supportive, interdisciplinary environment that values diversity and work-life balance.
