Job Summary

This role at TUD Dresden University of Technology involves investigating unconventional electron-phonon coupling effects in two-dimensional superconductors. As a Research Associate and PhD candidate within the Chair of Physics of Quantum Materials, you will utilize high-resolution Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction to identify and characterize structural instabilities. Measurements will be conducted under varying conditions, including hydrostatic pressure, uniaxial stress, and temperature, potentially complemented by Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. You will be integrated into the prestigious Cluster of Excellence 'ctd.qmat', collaborating with researchers from both TU Dresden and the University of Würzburg. This position is particularly attractive due to its 75% part-time structure designed for doctoral completion, access to unique experimental facilities, and a comprehensive benefits package including flexible working hours, mobile work options, and a vibrant scientific community in Dresden.
