Job Summary

This full-time Research Associate position at the TUD Dresden University of Technology focuses on the cutting-edge field of laser-based manufacturing. Working within the Chair of Laser-Based Manufacturing, the successful candidate will drive research and development of laser-based microstructuring methods aimed at functionalizing metallic surfaces. The day-to-day role involves planning and executing laser processes, investigating the relationships between process parameters and surface topography, and developing experimental analysis environments. A key objective is to adjust oil wettability and influence tribological properties such as friction and wear. This role is particularly attractive as it is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), involves close collaboration with the TU Wien, and explicitly offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD.
