Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive maintenance and management of building automation systems (BAS) and measurement, control, and regulation (MCR) technology at the University of Konstanz. As a key member of the Facility Management department, you will oversee technical infrastructure for heating, ventilation, sanitation, and specialized systems across a 120,000 m² campus. Your daily responsibilities include leading a small team of three, coordinating with external contractors, and participating in on-call rotations. You will also play a vital role in optimizing existing systems during renovations and upgrades. Required Skills
Education
University degree (preferably in Building Automation, Building and Energy Technology, or similar) OR qualified Technician/Master Craftsman with a vocational background in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in building automation or energy technology preferred
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of building control systems and HVAC systems
- Leadership experience in managing a small technical team
- Experience in programming controllers and DDC substations is advantageous
- Professional experience in coordinating with external service providers and contractors
Languages
Additional
- Participation in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) is required. The position is located in Konstanz and is eligible for partial part-time arrangements.
