Job Summary

As an IT Service Technician for a major automotive company in Braunschweig, you will be the primary point of contact for onsite technical support within production and development environments. Your daily activities will involve setting up and configuring hardware, managing Windows workstations and laptops, and providing face-to-face assistance at the service point. You will handle the entire lifecycle of end-user devices, from initial installation and software deployment to hardware repairs under warranty. Additionally, you will manage incidents through a ticketing system and support specialized equipment like mobile data entry (MDE) devices. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and direct user interaction. The position offers a modern working environment with regular hours and a strong long-term perspective, initially starting through temporary employment with a clear option for permanent takeover by the client.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Electronics Technician, Information Electronics Technician, or similar).

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical support for Windows operating systems and Office products
  • Experience in the maintenance and support of Windows workstations and laptops
  • Detailed knowledge in the field of client hardware
  • Experience working with ticketing systems for incident documentation and processing

Languages

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Position is based in Braunschweig within an automotive manufacturing context.
