Job Summary

As a Geoinformatics Specialist at the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), you will play a critical role in managing Germany's geodata infrastructure. Based in Frankfurt or Leipzig, your daily responsibilities will involve the administration, automation, and optimization of GIS and remote sensing software. You will be tasked with evolving the GIS landscape to meet modern requirements, managing user licenses and services, and developing comprehensive security and update concepts. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH) in Geoinformatics, Geography, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the administration and automation of GIS and remote sensing software
  • Demonstrated experience in server-based application management, specifically with ArcGIS Server and FME Flow
  • Practical experience using Python and PowerShell for technical automation
  • Experience with containerization and automation of GIS environments is preferred
