Job Summary
As a Senior Service Engineer at Vodafone, you will take end-to-end responsibility for critical business services, specifically focusing on Voice and Unified Communications (UCC) for major public sector clients. Your day-to-day involves acting as the service concept owner, ensuring technical documentation is current across the plan, build, and run phases. You will manage complex customer implementations, handle second-level support, and configure SIP trunks and Voice Gateways. A significant part of the role includes defining Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitoring KPIs, and driving continuous improvement through problem management. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Communications Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a comparable vocational qualification with several years of professional experience.
Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a technical service or engineering environment
- Professional experience in the operation and configuration of SIP trunks, Voice Gateways, and UCC solutions
- Proven experience in project management and presentation techniques
- Professional experience with network, transmission, and signaling protocols in telecommunications
- Experience in managing external service providers and third-party vendors
- Experience in analyzing and evaluating complex customer requirements for feasibility and effort

- Willingness to undergo security clearances and reliability checks; willingness to participate in on-call rotations; commitment to declarations under the Obligations Act for handling classified information; location-based in Düsseldorf or Eschborn.
