Job Summary

This role involves working within the 'Building Materials' department at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin. You will be responsible for the preparation and testing of various construction materials, including cement, concrete, clay products, asphalt, and organic sealing materials. Day-to-day tasks include manufacturing test specimens both in the laboratory and on-site, performing durability and performance tests such as frost resistance, and conducting mechanical property assessments like compressive and tensile strength tests. You will also support microscopic structural analysis and ultrasonic measurements. Required Skills

Education

  • Mandatory experience in the production, preparation, and testing of mineral building materials
  • Desirable experience working with organic building materials such as asphalt
  • Experience in independent procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment maintenance
