This full-time Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Bremen is part of the newly established DIFIS-SOFO Special Research Center, focusing on the social and socio-political impacts of key technologies like AI and megatrends. You will primarily contribute to a high-profile research project titled 'Artificial Intelligence and the Labor Market' in collaboration with the University of Konstanz and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB). Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting independent research in labor economics and behavioral economics, performing quantitative data analysis, and contributing to academic teaching during the first year. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) and a completed PhD in Economics or a comparable field. Candidates in the final stages of their PhD will be considered, but the doctoral certificate is required for hiring.

Experience

  • Professional experience in empirical economic research with a proven track record
  • Experience in applying advanced methodological and quantitative skills (econometrics)
  • Experience in behavioral economics and labor market economics is highly desirable
  • Experience with causal analysis methods and experimental design is preferred
  • Previous experience with international publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations is an advantage
