Job Summary

This 3-year doctoral position within the Department of Predictive Cognition offers a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research at the intersection of neuroscience and psychology. You will investigate how the human brain utilizes prior expectations during speech and face perception by combining neuroimaging, behavioral measurements, and computational modeling. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and programming experimental setups, acquiring and analyzing complex data sets, and disseminating findings through international conferences and scientific journals. The role also involves contributing to academic life through seminar teaching and student supervision. This position is particularly attractive as the team will move to the state-of-the-art THINK research building, providing a high-tech environment for interdisciplinary collaboration. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related discipline

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting, programming, and analyzing neuroimaging experiments (e.g., EEG/fMRI)
  • Experience in using neuroimaging methods such as 3T/7T MRI or eye tracking
  • Advanced experience in programming for research purposes using Python or MATLAB
  • Experience in presenting research results at conferences and publishing in scientific journals
  • Experience or interest in university-level teaching and student supervision
