As an Electrical Engineer at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB), you will be a key player in the 'Planning and Construction' department, actively shaping the future of the university campus. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve consulting with faculty users to define requirements for electrical systems, conducting feasibility and economic efficiency studies, and managing the full project lifecycle from planning and tendering to construction management. You will oversee technical building services (TGA) for renovations, core refurbishments, and new extensions, ensuring all work complies with German HOAI and VOB regulations. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with internal architects, facility management, and external consultants. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field; alternatively, a qualification as a state-certified technician in the same field with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the planning of Technical Building Equipment (TGA)
  • Professional experience in engineering-related activities for candidates with a technician background
  • Experience in planning, tendering, and construction management according to HOAI
  • Experience in managing external consultants and planning partners
  • Proven track record in handling technical building standards and specifications
