Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position at Saarland University involves working within the Core Facility for FACS & Particle Analysis and the Molecular Pharmacology group. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing tissue sections, performing histological and antibody staining, and conducting flow cytometry (FACS). You will also prepare samples for mass spectrometry, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage laboratory organization, and provide guidance to students. Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), or Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA).
Experience
- Professional experience following completion of training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA)
- Proven expertise in flow cytometry, FACS, and histological staining methods
- Experience in cell culture (mandatory for applicants with MTA or CTA backgrounds)
- Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructing students
- Professional experience in immunohistochemical methods
