Job Summary

This part-time (19.25 hours/week) role within the Molecular Head and Neck Oncology department at the University Hospital of Cologne offers an opportunity to contribute to translational cancer research. You will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory operations, including cell culture work with primary cells and cell lines, and performing standard molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, and microscopy. A significant portion of the role involves supporting animal experiments (mouse models) and ensuring meticulous documentation of quality and safety standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA, CTA, VMTA) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Practical experience in handling laboratory animals, specifically mouse models
  • Experience in laboratory administration and documentation
  • FELASA certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred
