Job Summary
As the Head of Department for Operations Technology at the University Hospital Würzburg, you will spearhead the development and optimization of a complex energy and meter infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities involve managing smart infrastructure, integrating energy meters for power, heat, and water, and leading the transition toward a DIN EN ISO 50001 energy management system. You will act as a technical driver for the hospital's sustainability and CO2 reduction strategies, automating measurement processes and collaborating closely with external specialist firms. This role is ideal for a proactive technical leader who enjoys data analysis and digital integration within a large-scale public service environment. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automation Technology, HVAC, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation and maintenance of technical systems
- Practical experience in energy, electrical, or automation technology
- Experience in structured technical project management and data evaluation
- Experience in building automation or meter communication protocols (preferred)
- Experience in energy auditing or CO2 balancing (preferred)
Languages
Additional
- The role requires a C1 level of German. The position is based on the TV-L public service collective agreement and includes a 38.5-hour work week with a flexitime model.
