Job Summary
As an IT Service Strategy Manager for the City of Potsdam, you will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the city's IT service management framework. Your daily activities will involve defining and maintaining the IT service portfolio and catalog, ensuring compliance with ITIL guidelines, and monitoring service quality through KPIs. You will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of the municipal administration and 50 local schools by analyzing market trends in cloud and digital technologies. Additionally, you will lead complex IT projects, managing everything from budget planning and software release processes to stakeholder coordination with external partners and internal departments. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys high-level planning and hands-on project management within a public sector context. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Management, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the public sector (e.g., public institutions or consulting)
- Extensive experience in leading and executing complex IT projects
- Professional experience in IT Service Management and IT Strategy Management
- Experience in administrative procedures and public sector workflows
- Proven track record in requirement management
