Job Summary

As an IT Service Manager for Kubernetes at BwBM, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the organization's container infrastructure from the ground up. Operating out of Cologne, your daily responsibilities involve managing, monitoring, and scaling Kubernetes clusters both on-premises and in hybrid cloud environments. You will ensure high availability and performance for onboarded applications, manage lifecycle patching, and coordinate incident management. This role is unique because it offers significant creative freedom within a growing team that is expanding from 8 to 20 members by 2028. You will act as a key technical anchor, collaborating with IT architects and external service providers to modernize the clothing management infrastructure for the German Federal Armed Forces. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical depth and wants to shape a long-term IT strategy in a crisis-proof, stable environment.
