Job Summary

As the IT Team Lead for Container Operations at Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, you will be responsible for building and managing a growing team of approximately 10 employees. Your day-to-day role involves overseeing the personnel and technical aspects of container platform operations, ranging from development to production environments. You will act as a strategic advisor for developers and represent the department in internal and external working groups. The position is central to maintaining high-availability platforms using OpenShift and Rancher, ensuring service level agreements are met. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in IT, or equivalent IT qualification, or completed vocational training in IT with several years of relevant practical experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT specifically within container virtualization environments
  • Proven experience in planning and providing infrastructure components
  • Practical experience in terminal operations and orchestration of complex container environments
  • Initial experience in disciplinary or functional leadership of teams or project groups
  • Experience managing on-call readiness (Rufbereitschaft) teams
