Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Technician at Roche, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal, efficient, and safe operation of building automation systems at the Mannheim and Penzberg sites. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve programming building technology throughout its lifecycle, managing maintenance, incidents, and requests, and leading technical projects with budgets up to €1 million. You will act as a key point of contact for technical expertise, developing solution concepts and standards in collaboration with internal networks and external partners. This role is unique for its focus on high-stakes building automation within a regulated GxP environment, supporting the production of life-saving medicines. You will work within a team of 1,300 infrastructure specialists, enjoying a culture that values personal expression and provides extensive benefits while directly contributing to global healthcare solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Engineering or a certified Technician qualification in a relevant field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in building automation or electrical engineering
  • Experience in managing external contractors and third-party firms
  • Experience as a project manager in maintenance within regulated environments
  • Several years of experience in PLC programming, specifically with Neuberger or Saia PCD technology
  • Proven experience working within GxP and other regulatory frameworks

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including on-call duty and weekend shifts. Experience in a regulated GxP environment is required.
