Job Summary

As an Automation Engineering Manager at Roche, you will serve as the primary technical lead for human biospecimen management in Germany. Your daily responsibilities involve overseeing high-density, automated ultra-cold storage solutions and a growing fleet of liquid sample handling robotics. You will be responsible for developing a strategic roadmap for biorepository automation, evaluating and procuring high-throughput technologies, and leading large-scale CAPEX projects from concept to completion. This role is critical in ensuring the operational reliability of systems that manage millions of valuable R&D samples. You will collaborate across global sites to integrate robotic solutions into the digital lab ecosystem, utilizing Six Sigma principles to optimize processes.
