As a Development Engineer within the System Integration & Verification department for Near Patient Care (NPC), you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative Point of Care (PoC) diagnostic systems. Your daily activities will focus on the system release and commissioning of measurement systems, components, and workflows. You will be responsible for root cause analysis, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating complex analytical development tasks as a technical project lead. This role bridges the gap between R&D and production, ensuring device availability and overseeing verification studies through mathematical and statistical evaluation. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in a natural science or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Engineering, or a comparable discipline).

Experience

  • Approximately 2 years of professional experience in the research and development of diagnostic Point of Care systems
  • Specialist knowledge in the development of immunochemistry systems for PoC
  • Practical experience with optical measurement methods and devices
  • Proven experience in system verification and software/device testing
  • Initial experience in (sub-)project management and leadership within a matrix organization
