Job Summary

As a (Senior) Development Engineer within the 'System Integration & Verification' department of the Near Patient Care (NPC) division, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative Point of Care (PoC) diagnostic systems. Your daily activities will center on system-software integration and performance verification of measurement systems, components, and processes. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating complex systemic development tasks, conducting root cause analysis for malfunctions, and managing software testing and releases. This role requires acting as a bridge between R&D and software development teams, ensuring software availability and system interface stability. You will apply statistical methods to evaluate verification studies and present findings to interdisciplinary teams. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in a natural science or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Engineering, or equivalent).

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in research and development of diagnostic Point of Care systems
  • Specialized expertise in the development of immunochemistry systems for PoC
  • Proven experience with optical measurement methods and devices
  • Professional experience working with system interfaces for software development
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and (partial) project leadership within a matrix organization
