Job Summary

As a Hardware Developer at Brunel, you will play a critical role in the lifecycle of electronic systems used in fossil fuel extraction. Your daily responsibilities include performing root cause analysis on existing products, designing both analog and digital hardware, and developing specialized test environments. You will be deeply involved in PCBA manufacturing processes, focusing on quality control and cost reduction while collaborating with external component suppliers. The role requires a hands-on approach to testing, including temperature and vibration qualifications, and demands close cross-departmental cooperation to support tool and service delivery. This position is particularly attractive for engineers who enjoy a mix of design work and practical troubleshooting within a global engineering services firm. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in hardware development
  • Professional experience in energy or extraction technology is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD programs and schematic creation
  • Practical experience in testing and qualifying electronic components
  • Experience working with external suppliers for electronic components
