Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer for Mechatronic Systems at Brunel, you will play a pivotal role in the design and lifecycle management of rail vehicle components. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve creating and adapting technical documentation, including architecture specifications and requirement definitions for mechatronic functions and software components. You will be responsible for ensuring overall functionality at the train level, managing interfaces, and conducting impact analyses for technical changes. A significant part of the role includes collaborating with RAMS engineers to consolidate FMEA and PHA reports, as well as supporting commissioning and type testing activities. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy a mix of high-level system architecture and hands-on troubleshooting. Required Skills

Education

Completed Engineering degree with a focus on Rail Vehicle Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience, preferably within the rail vehicle industry
  • Professional experience in the development or maintenance of rail vehicles
  • Proven experience in Systems and Requirements Engineering
  • Solid experience in project management and project planning
