Job Summary
This role at citeq, the IT service provider for the City of Münster, involves acting as a central point of service for internal and external municipal customers. You will be responsible for supporting IT coordinators across various city departments, planning and organizing training sessions, and facilitating knowledge transfer through new exchange formats. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring service processes to identify optimization potential, providing second-level support for hardware and software issues, and coordinating with external service partners to ensure high service quality. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in Windows systems and networking with a strong service-oriented mindset. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, transparent public service pay scale (TVöD), and the opportunity to contribute directly to the digital infrastructure and quality of life in one of Germany's most livable cities.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in IT (Administrative Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Business Administration), or completed vocational IT training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT Systems Clerk), or Bachelor Professional in IT (IHK), or Administrative training (Qualification for Career Group 2.1 or Administrative Course II).
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or digitalization (at least one year required for candidates with administrative backgrounds)
- Professional experience in customer communication and service delivery
- Experience in technical support and troubleshooting within Windows and network environments
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and partners
- Experience in process optimization and service monitoring
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B (or former Class 3) driver's license is required for on-site appointments at city administration offices. For civil servants, applications are only possible outside the probationary period (except for those with a degree in Administrative Informatics).
