Job Summary

As a Digital Forensics Expert at the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), you will play a critical role in national and international criminal investigations by securing and analyzing digital evidence. Operating within the 'Operational Deployment and Investigation Support' department, your daily responsibilities include developing creative forensic software solutions, reconstructing deleted data, and interpreting complex network traffic and communication data. The role offers three specialized tracks: classic mobile and storage media forensics or web forensics focusing on cloud and internet evidence. You will support investigators both in the laboratory and during active police operations, eventually presenting your findings as an expert witness in court.
