Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position within the Tübingen Regional Council involves the strategic implementation and oversight of nature conservation and species protection projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of third-party funded projects, the creation of technical statements regarding infrastructure interventions, and the professional management of Nature 2000 and other protected areas. A key part of the role includes planning landscape management measures and engaging in public relations work. The position is ideal for an ecological expert who enjoys a mix of field work and administrative planning. What makes this role unique is the structured onboarding program for the state administration of Baden-Württemberg, which includes a four-month secondment to a district office and comprehensive professional development. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or University Diploma) in Biology, Landscape Ecology, Agricultural Biology, Nature Conservation, or a comparable field with a focus on field ecology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the application of vegetation-oriented or faunal-ecological methods
  • Experience in the evaluation and interpretation of ecological results
  • Professional experience in applying nature conservation laws and regulations
  • Experience in the conception and implementation of conservation projects including financial processing is preferred
  • Experience in public administration or expert reporting is an advantage
  • Regional knowledge of the Tübingen district's natural areas is preferred
