Job Summary

This permanent role within the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy, Nature Conservation and Forests (TMUENF) involves managing the legal and technical frameworks of circular economy and waste management. Based in Erfurt, you will be responsible for drafting state-level regulations, providing policy advice, and exercising technical supervision over relevant authorities and public waste disposal entities. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or Diploma) in an engineering or natural science discipline, preferably in Waste Management Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Process Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in circular economy or waste management, preferably within a public authority or public-sector waste disposal entity
  • Experience in conceptual or project work, specifically within an environmental or sustainability context
  • Experience in drafting legal regulations, such as bills, procedural principles, or decrees
  • Experience in economic or financial management of industry-specific funding systems is desirable
