Job Summary
This role involves the conceptual design and coordination of contractual nature conservation and EU-cofinanced funding programs for the Thuringian Ministry for Environment, Energy, Nature Conservation and Forests. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will coordinate landscape management concepts, perform efficiency monitoring of funding measures, and provide expert advice to stakeholders and project sponsors. The position is central to implementing biodiversity and climate goals through the coordination of the Nature Conservation Specialist Information System (LINFOS). This is a permanent position based in Erfurt, offering the stability of the German public service (TV-L E 13 or A 14 civil servant status). Required Skills
Education
University Master's degree or Diploma in a scientific field, preferably in Nature Conservation and Landscape Management, Landscape Architecture, Biology, Landscape Planning, or Agroecology.
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in biology, nature conservation, landscape planning, or agroecology
- Experience in the implementation of state, federal, or EU funding programs
- Professional experience in applying geographic information systems
- Experience in project implementation and public administration is preferred
Languages
Additional
- German language skills at C2 level are explicitly required. Candidates with foreign degrees must provide proof of equivalence to a German degree. Willingness to undertake business travel is required. Position is available for both salaried employees (E 13 TV-L) and civil servants (A 14 ThürBesG).
