This position is based at the Institute of Biosciences within the Faculty of Chemistry, Physics, and Biosciences, focusing on the EU-funded 'LiCuPlus' project. As a Research Associate, you will play a pivotal role in developing sustainable bioleaching processes for copper-bearing ores and residues, with a specific focus on arsenic separation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve setting up and operating bioreactors, optimizing process parameters from laboratory to pilot scale, and conducting chemical analysis. You will collaborate with international partners to establish efficient, zero-waste industrial applications. Required Skills

Education

University Diploma or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Applied Natural Sciences, Chemistry, Process Engineering, or a related field with relevant specialization.

Experience

  • Practical experience in the construction and operation of bioreactors
