Job Summary

This role is based within the Junior Research Group 'Quantum Critical Matter' at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, part of the prestigious Würzburg-Dresden Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat. As a Research Associate and PhD Student, you will investigate novel quantum phases in correlated electron systems and frustrated quantum magnets. The day-to-day work involves applying numerical or analytical many-body techniques to study phase transitions in quantum many-body systems. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a 3-year structured path toward obtaining a PhD within a highly collaborative environment that bridges physics, chemistry, and materials science. You will work alongside 300 international researchers, benefiting from the resources of the German Excellence Strategy and the Collaborative Research Center 1143, making it an ideal launchpad for a career in theoretical condensed matter physics.
