Job Summary

This role within the IT Security Office (GSIS) focuses on the coordination and management of cross-institutional specialist groups and committees within the German Pension Insurance (DRV) security organization. You will be responsible for steering DRV-wide technical conferences, organizing information security risk management, and leading management groups. A significant part of the daily work involves editorial work on information security policies and the planning of workshops and presentations. The position is unique for its high-level strategic impact on national IT security infrastructure and its hybrid work model. You will act as a central communication hub, translating complex technical security concepts for various stakeholders and supporting the Chief Information Security Officer. This is a permanent position offering stability within the public sector, with the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to shape security policies at a nationwide level.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Diploma, or equivalent) ideally in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, or Administrative Sciences; alternatively, a commercial or IT vocational qualification with several years of relevant experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in an IT environment
  • Experience in committee work or specialist group management, ideally within the public sector
  • Experience in information security is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in moderating complex project and working groups
  • Experience in creating communication concepts and technical documentation

Additional

  • Must be able to pass a security clearance check according to the Security Check Act (§ 9 SÜG). Willingness to travel within Germany (approximately 25%). Open to candidates requiring a hybrid/home-office work model after the initial onboarding phase.
