Job Summary
As an Institute Manager at Leuphana University Lüneburg, you will play a central role in the administrative operations of the Institute for History and Literary Cultures. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing institute budgets, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling general correspondence in both German and English. You will act as a key liaison between the institute leadership, the dean's office, and central administration, while also supporting the organization of teaching, examinations, and events. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys a mix of financial administration, personnel coordination, and student support. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Management Assistant for Office Management, Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r), or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in secretarial or administrative roles
- Experience in budget and invoice management, including third-party funded projects
- Experience in organizing teaching activities and examinations within a university context is preferred
- Proven experience in drafting minutes and managing professional correspondence
- Experience with public service administrative processes (TV-L) is beneficial

- Part-time position (50%). Permanent contract. Location: Lüneburg, Germany. Applicants must be able to work within a flexible flextime framework (6 AM - 9 PM) and participate in on-site/mobile work rotations.
