Job Summary

As an Institute Manager at Leuphana University Lüneburg, you will play a central role in the administrative operations of the Institute for History and Literary Cultures. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing institute budgets, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling general correspondence in both German and English. You will act as a key liaison between the institute leadership, the dean's office, and central administration, while also supporting the organization of teaching, examinations, and events. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Management Assistant for Office Management, Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r), or an equivalent professional qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in secretarial or administrative roles
  • Experience in budget and invoice management, including third-party funded projects
  • Experience in organizing teaching activities and examinations within a university context is preferred
  • Proven experience in drafting minutes and managing professional correspondence
  • Experience with public service administrative processes (TV-L) is beneficial
