Job Summary

This part-time position (20.05 hours/week) is based within the Department of Cooperation and Transfer at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. As a Communications Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy for a newly established department that connects the university with science, business, and civil society partners. Your day-to-day work involves translating complex research and transfer project content into engaging visual and editorial formats, including presentations, digital layouts, and print materials. You will manage the department's external image to increase visibility and professional positioning both internally and externally. This role is ideal for a creative professional who enjoys strategic thinking and collaborative work within a higher education setting. The position offers a high degree of flexibility with up to 60% remote work and is fixed-term until December 31, 2027.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Design, Media, or a comparable field. Foreign degrees require a ZAB (Central Office for Foreign Education) evaluation.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in conceptual and visual communication work
  • Experience in developing communication concepts, presentations, and print-ready data
  • Profound know-how in the application of AI tools
  • Experience in a university or higher education context is preferred
  • Professional experience in structured processing of complex content
