This full-time research position at one of Germany's largest Universities of Applied Sciences focuses on the laser material processing of sapphire for the production of photonic sensor elements. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes using simulation techniques and developing probe bodies for operating sensors in gas streams. The role involves integrating and validating sensor methods in test stands while providing essential support for teaching and the organization of the Photonics Master's degree program. Required Skills

Education

Excellent Master's degree in a technical field, preferably in Photonics or Physics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in photonics, fiber optics, and laser technology
  • Experience in experimental laboratory work and sensor validation
  • Experience with simulation software such as COMSOL or LabVIEW is highly desirable
  • Experience in academic environments or teaching support is preferred
