Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Technician or Master Electrician at one of Germany's largest universities of applied sciences, you will play a vital role in supporting the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Your daily responsibilities include the maintenance and upkeep of specialized laboratories and lecture halls, performing safety assessments, and ensuring equipment quality control. You will actively support teaching and research by setting up experimental test benches, managing technical procurement, and handling the physical construction and wiring of control cabinets. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract status and the high degree of flexibility it offers, including up to 60% remote work. You will work in a modern facility in central Munich, benefiting from the stability of public service employment (TV-L) while contributing to the education of future engineers in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master Craftsman certificate in the electrical trade (Elektrohandwerksmeister), State-Certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a Master Craftsman in the electrical trade or as a State-Certified Electrical Technician
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant technical field
  • Experience in the maintenance and safety assessment of electrical systems and laboratories
  • Experience in technical experimental setups and control cabinet wiring
