Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the team responsible for skilled immigration, labor market integration, and academic residency matters within the Region Hannover administration. You will be the primary point of contact for international professionals, employers, and universities, managing all residency-related legal processes for work, study, and vocational training. Day-to-day, you will provide personnel and organizational leadership, oversee financial responsibilities, and handle complex legal cases and administrative complaints. The position is unique for its strategic influence on regional migration policy and its focus on intercultural competence. You will work closely with the Economic and Employment Promotion department to streamline processes for the regional labor market. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt, Bachelor of Arts General Administration/Administrative Business Administration), completion of the Second Administrative Examination (Angestelltenlehrgang II), or a Bachelor's degree in Law.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience based on the required educational qualifications
  • Proven experience in personnel leadership and modern management practices
