Job Summary

As the Team Lead for Polymer Chemistry at Roche Diagnostics Solutions, you will spearhead a dedicated R&D team of 5–6 scientists and technicians focused on developing chemical raw materials for a global diagnostic product portfolio. Your daily responsibilities involve balancing technical excellence in macromolecular chemistry with modern leadership, coaching team members, and defining strategic goals. You will drive innovation by designing and manufacturing diagnostic substances at the molecular level, ensuring a seamless transfer of active ingredients into production. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Polymer Chemistry or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the preparative organic-chemical synthesis of polymers within an industrial setting
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop potential through coaching
  • Extensive expertise in macromolecular and modern polymer chemistry
  • Experience working in dynamic environments using agile project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary communication and stakeholder management
