Job Summary
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Brunel, you will be responsible for the planning and design of switchgear and electrical equipment for specialized pharmaceutical machinery. Your daily activities involve creating electrical control and circuit diagrams, dimensioning components according to technical calculations, and ensuring compliance with current safety regulations. You will work closely with design and project management teams to meet specific customer requirements and support the assembly department during the implementation phase. A key part of the role includes conducting risk assessments in line with machinery directives and maintaining GMP-compliant documentation and bills of materials within SAP. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours with a flextime account, and the opportunity for remote work, all within a structured environment supported by a collective bargaining agreement.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training with further qualification as a Technician, or a University Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical design, ideally within the mechanical and plant engineering sector
- Experience in creating electrical control and circuit diagrams using E3 or EPLAN
- Practical experience in component dimensioning and technical calculations
- Experience in maintaining bills of materials (BOM) within SAP
- Experience working with pharmaceutical machinery or specialized machine construction
Languages
Additional
- Familiarity with machinery directives and GMP-compliant documentation is required. The role involves close coordination with assembly and project management teams.
