Job Summary
As a Laboratory Engineer for Instrumental Analytics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent execution of chemical analyses, specifically focusing on sample preparation techniques such as filtration, Solid Phase Extraction (SPE), and extraction. You will be responsible for operating, calibrating, and maintaining sophisticated GC-MS and LC-MS equipment, while meticulously documenting results in accordance with ISO 17025 standards. Beyond routine testing, you will engage in troubleshooting and the optimization of analytical methods. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of high-tech laboratory work and environmental impact, offered within a stable framework of a permanent contract, flexible working hours (Gleitzeit), and 30 days of annual leave. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field; alternatively, a qualification as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA).
Experience
- Professional experience in instrumental analytics, preferably within the water or environmental sectors
- Practical experience in sample preparation techniques including SPE and extraction
- Experience in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of mass spectrometry equipment
- Experience working within regulated quality assurance environments
