Job Summary
As an Electrical Design Engineer within the Service Engineering team at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in the 'Transformation of Industry' division. Your primary focus will be the development and optimization of small to medium-sized generators used in decentralized power plants, directly supporting global decarbonization efforts. Day-to-day, you will perform electrical and thermal designs of generator components, utilize internal calculation tools for ventilation and performance analysis, and provide technical expertise to field service teams for repair solutions. This role is unique as it bridges the gap between research and development and practical field applications, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge industrial generators. You will collaborate with international teams and contribute to the evolution of internal R&D tools, making it an ideal position for an engineer who enjoys technical depth combined with real-world problem-solving in the renewable energy transition sector.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in the theory of electrical machines, specifically focusing on synchronous machines
- Extensive experience using CAE tools for engineering design
- Experience with AI applications in a business or technical environment is preferred
- Experience in electrical and thermal design including ventilation calculations
- Experience providing technical support for production sites and field service teams

- Willingness to travel for collaboration with international teams and partners is required. The role supports hybrid and flexible working models.
