Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) at Siemens Energy, you will be a pivotal member of the project core team, providing expert guidance on ILS tasks within the maritime sector. Your daily responsibilities include creating S1000D and S2000M data modules, conducting Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), and supporting obsolescence management. You will collaborate closely with technical colleagues to develop electronic manuals covering operation, maintenance, and software for complex ship systems, ranging from automation to propulsion. Beyond technical execution, you will support the bidding phase by identifying ILS requirements and risks. This role is unique for its deep involvement in both commercial and military shipbuilding projects, including submarines, and offers the chance to shape the future of green marine technology. You will also play a key role in developing internal ILS systems and conducting technical training for clients and staff.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a certified Technician qualification with extensive professional experience in project execution and commissioning.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) or Service Engineering within civil or military sectors
  • Extensive experience in processing engineering data such as circuit diagrams, bills of materials, and material data
  • Proven experience in analyzing circuit diagrams and describing technical relationships
  • Experience with database structures and XML-based documentation
  • Experience in the shipbuilding industry (surface or underwater vessels) is required
  • Experience with German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) maintenance is desirable
