Job Summary
This role is central to the global energy transition, focusing on the decarbonization of power plants by converting gas-powered systems to hydrogen operation. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition, design, and modification of auxiliary systems for gas turbines. Your daily activities include conducting thermodynamic assessments, creating technical upgrade proposals, and managing hardware specifications for suppliers. You will play a critical role in research and development projects, performing first-application tests and validations at customer sites. A key part of the position involves evaluating fuel chemistry impacts and developing customized solutions for alternative fuels. This position is particularly attractive due to its direct impact on sustainable energy, the opportunity for international collaboration across different time zones, and the blend of deep technical engineering with commercial offer preparation. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable field of study; a Doctorate (PhD) is optional.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in process engineering or chemical engineering preferred
- Professional experience in the design and layout of auxiliary systems for thermal turbomachinery
- Experience in creating technical offers for upgrade products and hardware modifications
- Experience in conducting first-application projects including on-site testing and validation
- Proven experience in global team collaboration and managing technical interfaces
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for on-site acceptance tests and customer site applications; ability to work flexibly across different time zones in a global engineering environment.
