Job Summary

As a Lead Enterprise IT Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital future of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Working for BWI, the primary digitalization partner for Germany's military, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of complex enterprise architectures. Your daily activities will include creating architectural target visions, managing reference and project architectures, and translating intricate military requirements into actionable IT strategies. You will act as a central interface, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and advising top-level management on strategic IT landscapes. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to national security by modernizing one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable STEM field of study.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience as an IT Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or IT Service Portfolio Manager following graduation
  • Extensive experience in IT development planning and the creation of strategic target visions
  • Proven track record in requirement elicitation and management within complex environments
  • Experience in communicating and collaborating with middle and top-level management
  • Professional experience leading interdisciplinary technical teams within IT projects

Additional

  • Willingness to work nationwide at various BWI locations (Berlin, Bonn, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm). Experience in the public sector or with the Bundeswehr is preferred but not mandatory.
