Job Summary

This role involves the independent management of payroll accounting for a defined group of approximately 6,500 employees within the Diocese of Speyer. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for calculating wages, maintaining digital payroll controls (DEKO), and managing personnel master data. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll queries and handle all formal communication and reporting to social security agencies and tax authorities. Required Skills

Education

Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., Social Security Specialist, Tax Assistant, or Office Management) ideally supplemented by advanced training in Payroll.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Proven experience in calculating sick pay and social security contributions
  • Experience in communicating with government authorities and social security providers
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements (ideally TVöD-VKA)
