Job Summary

This Senior Electrical Engineer role is based in Düsseldorf and focuses on the core engineering of mobile harbor cranes. You will be responsible for the design and dimensioning of complex electrotechnical drive systems from the conceptual phase through to series production. The day-to-day involves managing interfaces between mechanics, software, production, and service departments to ensure seamless system integration. You will also play a critical role in quality assurance, ensuring compliance with international standards and safety regulations. The role combines technical depth in high-performance electrical systems with the responsibility of shaping the long-term direction of the Electrical Design department. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrotechnical design specifically within drive technology
  • Proven experience in the lifting equipment industry (e.g., cranes or hoists)
  • Extensive experience in the dimensioning and development of complex drive trains
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams including mechanics and software departments
  • Demonstrated potential or experience in motivating and developing technical teams
