Job Summary

This postdoctoral position at the Faculty of Medicine, Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, offers a unique opportunity to conduct high-impact translational research within the SFB/Transregio 221 framework. You will join Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Mougiakakos's laboratory to investigate immune regulation, metabolic fitness, and resilience pathways in the context of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T cell therapies. Day-to-day, you will design and execute complex experiments using advanced molecular biology methods and preclinical models, while mentoring junior researchers and collaborating with international scientific partners. The role is ideal for a highly motivated scientist looking to identify actionable metabolic vulnerabilities that can be translated into next-generation immunotherapies. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, or a related field. International qualifications require a certificate evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education (KMK).

Experience

  • Professional experience in tumor immunology, cell therapy, or immune metabolism
  • Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed international journals
  • Experience in designing and executing translational research projects
  • Experience with advanced molecular and cellular biology methods
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring MSc, MD, or PhD students
  • Experience with in vivo models and FELASA B/C certification is preferred
