Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive administration and maintenance of the network and communication infrastructure for the Börde District administration. As a Network and Communication Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of switches, routers, network access control systems, and on-premise firewalls. Your tasks include conducting user training, creating technical documentation, and coordinating with third-level support providers. You will work within ITIL frameworks for incident and change processes and manage virtualized telecommunications systems, including fax servers and conference solutions. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or Media Informatics is preferred; alternatively, a completed vocational training in IT with several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience as an IT Administrator (Second Level) is preferred
- Several years of professional experience in network administration, routing, and switching if applying with a vocational qualification
- Experience working with ITIL-based processes
- Experience in managing virtualized telecommunication and conference systems
Languages
Additional
- Successful completion of a security clearance (SÜG-LSA § 10) is mandatory. Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to support the disaster control staff if needed. Location: Haldensleben, Germany.
