Job Summary
This position at the Chair of Microbial Diversity at TU Dresden offers a unique opportunity to conduct advanced research on strictly anaerobic methanogenic model organisms. As a Research Associate and PhD candidate, you will investigate the connection between anabolic reactions and carbon monoxide-dependent energy metabolism through targeted manipulations. Your day-to-day work will involve utilizing a wide spectrum of modern genetic, physiological, biochemical, and molecular biological methods within a technically superior laboratory environment specialized for anaerobic research. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Experience

- Experience in handling strictly anaerobic microorganisms is preferred
- Experience in academic environments or research projects
- Demonstrated engagement in scientific research and methodology

- The position is a part-time role (50%) for a duration of 3 years with the goal of obtaining a doctorate (PhD). Candidates must meet the requirements of the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG). Location is Dresden, Germany.
