Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive administration and support of a large network infrastructure, including managing approximately 400 network switches and firewall systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining WLAN infrastructure and IP telephony systems, contributing to the implementation and monitoring of security policies, and continuously improving IT security measures. A key aspect of the role is supporting the development of network automation and providing second-level support for complex network issues. This position is ideal for a proactive and solution-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset, looking to contribute to a dynamic and international academic environment in Deggendorf.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Network Technology, or a comparable field; alternatively, vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration.
Experience
- Professional experience in network device administration and configuration via CLI
- Practical experience with WLAN solutions and IP telephony systems
- At least two years of professional experience if holding a vocational qualification as an IT Specialist for System Integration

- Initial contract duration of 2 years. Must be eligible to work in Germany. For foreign university degrees, a certificate evaluation from ZAB (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen) is required during the hiring process. Position is suitable for part-time work. Preference given to severely disabled applicants with comparable qualifications.
